Description:
Chemist or apothecary jars were essential in pharmacies for storing and displaying medicinal ingredients. The use of colored glass, such as vibrant blue as seen here, was common for protecting light-sensitive contents and served as a decorative element in the shop! This jar stored "pearled barley" used for curing coughs and sore throats!  It's stunningly beautiful.
