Description:

Mid-century landscape painting often romanticized nature, using impressionistic techniques to capture light and atmosphere. In the painting, the observer can actually hear the river's movement as he ponders the setting from the shore. A peaceful moment in time, at one with nature.  It is a lovely original painting.
